This privacy policy explains how Custom Clearance collects and uses your personal data.

Data We Collect

We collect information you provide through our contact form: your name, email, phone, service selection and message. When we prepare a declaration on your behalf, we also collect shipment documents, EORI and VAT numbers, and related customs paperwork. This data is used solely to prepare your declaration and submit it to HMRC.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to prepare declarations, communicate with you about your shipment, and correspond with HMRC. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law (for example, HMRC record-keeping obligations).

Data Retention

UK customs regulations require declarations and supporting documentation to be retained for a minimum of four years. We hold these records for the required period and securely destroy them afterwards.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify or delete your personal data. Please note that some data cannot be deleted until statutory retention periods expire. Contact us at customs@pcsl.uk.com to exercise these rights.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your chosen language. This cookie is essential and does not require consent under UK PECR / ICO guidance.

With your explicit consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Cookies such as _ga and _ga_* may remain on your device for up to 2 years. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. No analytics cookies are placed on your device until you click “Accept analytics” on our cookie banner.
